Get in the Guide

Are you a Jefferson County farm producing local foods?

Are you a restaurant or food entrepreneur sourcing local ingredients?

Are you a retailer highlighting local products?

Then you're invited

The Jefferson County Local Food Guide is a free marketing opportunity for your business. Yes, FREE!

Each year Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County compiles a list of local farms, farm stands, farmers markets, and businesses that offer locally grown foods within our community. We verify product offerings, payment options, market hours, farm addresses, and all of the other details you’ve seen within this guide, then design and print these booklets as a free resource for our county.

We hand out over 7,000 Local Food Guides annually at farmers markets, community events, on Fort Drum, at CCE programming, and through partner organizations. Our goal is to increase community access to fresh, local foods and connect local businesses to more customers. It is one of the many ways we strive to strengthen both the producer and consumer sides of the Jefferson County local food system!

Getting listed is simple. We contact businesses in the beginning of each year with a quick application, then all submitted businesses that align with the requirements and intent of our guide get listed. While a simple listing is completely free, 1/8th page and 1/4th page graphics to further market your business are offered to those who help sponsor our guide! Sponsorships start at $150. To be featured in the 2027 guide or for any questions regarding sponsorships, please contact:
